NRA 1st Steps Basic Pistol: Is a National Rifle Association's program. Offered to new shooters who own, plan to own or are just plain interested about handguns. This is a 3 hour course with hands-on training to safe and proper handling. Includes live shooting at the range.
NRA 1st Steps Basic Rifle: Is a National Rifle Association's program. Learn safe gun handling, the fundamentals of rifle shooting, safe storage and cleaning. This is a 3+ hour course with hands-on training and live shooting.
NRA 1st Steps Shotgun: Is a NRA's program. Learn the fundamentals required to hit moving targets with a shotgun. Students acquire proper attitude, knowledge and skills in a 3+ hours course that includes skeet shooting.
Home Defense: The most common reason for an individual to purchase a firearm is to be able to defend his/her home and family. This course tackles a wide range of topics. From the proper mindset, how to prepare your home for safety, use of force, aftermath and shooting techniques. This is an 8 hour course.
Sunday Pistol Shoot: This is for shooters of all level. The class will cover everything from basic marksmanship, correcting bad habbits, skilll improvement and advanced techniques. The objective is to provide students a platform to practice their skills while being supervised by an instructor. Priced to encourage regulars to practice more often. Range fee included.
Skill Builder Pistol: This is for shooters who are ready to take the next step and designed to prepare individuals to take more advanced pistol courses. Safety is again emphasized. Class discussions include proper attitude, gear selection, and marksmanship. Drills, including the draw and re-holstering are repeated for muscle memory. Many of our students take this course multiple times before advancing to the Tactical Pistol course. This is a 4 hour shooting class.
Defensive Shotgun: This course if for shooters who wants to use shotguns as their primary home defense firearm. It is also designed to prepare individuals to take more advanced shotgun courses such as the Tactical Shotgun. Topics include home defense, basic maneuvers, types of ammunition, close quarter combat with shotguns. This is a 3 hour, shooting class. Bring your shotgun and buckshots. Other types of shells should be brought for informational and testing purposes.
Choosing A Gun: Many beginners find it hard to choose a gun even after taking a class. Some listen to the advice of others whom they think are experts. The fact is, there are a lot factors to consider when buying your first gun. This course/seminar aims to aid you in making the right choice. Students will be evaluated and given several guns to try out at the range.
Essential /Intermediate Pistol: Is our intermediate level handgun course. This is for shooters who are ready to take the next step and designed to prepare individuals to take advanced pistol courses. Safety is again emphasized. Class discussions include proper attitude, gear selection, and marksmanship. Drills, including the draw and re-holstering are repeated for muscle memory. Many of our students take this course multiple times before advancing to the Tactical Pistol course. This is a 4 hour shooting class.
Defensive Handgun: This course is conducted by Craig's Amory Training Division. It is offered in two different levels, Basic (Home Defense) and intermediate-advanced (Level II - Dynaics of Personal Defense & Close Quarter Combat) This course is suitable for beginners as well as experienced handgun users. It tackles a wide range of topics, including basic gun safey, marksmanship, handgun operation, the proper mindset, how to prepare your home for safety, use of force and aftermath of a defensive encounter. This is a 4 hour course.
Tactical Pistol: Is conducted by West Coast Tactical. It is offered in Level I and the more advanced Level II. This course bridges the gap between casual target shooting and takes the shooter into the realm of state-of-the-art self defense shooting and gun handling techniques. It is recommended that attendees have prior marksmanship and gun handling experience. This is a 14 hour course, normally conducted in 7 hour sessions and split into 2 consecutive Sundays.
Tactical Pistol II: Is conducted by West Coast Tactical. This class picks up where the Level One class leaves off. This class developes the student's balance between speed, accuracy, tactics, and most importantly the fighting mindset. The FBI's Uniformed Crime Report points out that over 75, 000 people survive each year after being shot. The likely hood of being shot in the hands and/or arms is high due to weapon fixation. This curriculum address the skills required to stay in the fight and win in the worse case scenario. This is a 12 hour course, normally conducted in 6 hour sessions and split into 2 consecutive Sundays.
Tactical Shotgun: Is conducted by West Coast Tactical. This action packed class explores the ballistic superiority of one of the most versatile and effective firearms available, while at the same time dispelling the myths surrounding the use of the shotgun in a close quarters environment. Once CQB techniques are ingrained, you will never rely on a handgun as a primary weapon again. This is a 12 hour course, normally conducted in 6 hour sessions and split into 2 consecutive Sundays.
Tactical Rifle: Level One Tactical Rifle/Carbine is designed for shooters who wish to explore power and precision in a close quarters environment. This course is open to shooters of all levels.
This curriculum is designed specifically for rifles and carbines chambered in caliber 223/5.56 or handgun calibers.
Low Light: Most shooting happens under no light or diminished lighting condition. This course is for advanced shooters to aquire skills and techniques in the use of flashlight in connection to defensive shooting. Surefire Trained Instructors teach the use of flashlights in various techniques. This is a 3 hour course.
Force On Force: Is conducted by West Coast Tactical. Force on force training is where the rubber meets the road. You'll be pitted against thinking adversaries in likely real world scenarios. Using Airsoft pistols you'll learn what tactics work and what tactics don't. This curriculum is designed for serious students who have their shooting and gun handling skills developed and are willing to take the next step in the training continuum.
Concealed Carry (Utah): This course is designed for experienced shooters who wish to qualify and apply for a concealed carry weapon permit issued by the State of Utah. This permit is accepted in 28 states. This class is a 4 hour course. Shortened sessions are given to qualified shooters who have recently completed a qualified Tactical Pistol Course. This is a non-shooting class but requires students to bring their concealment holsters and firearms for a practical test. Application forms for Utah - CCW are signed and stamped by a Utah Bureau of Criminal Identificataion Agent upon successfully completing the course.
Urban Rifle: This course is for shooters who want to use carbines and rifle as their primary home defense firearm. Topics include home defense, basic maneuvers, types of ammunition and close quarter combat with rifle. This is a 4 hour shooting class.
California Handgun Safety Instructor Course: This course is for experienced shooters with the desire to share his/her knowledge and skills to responsible and law abiding individuals who are willing to learn the discipline of pistol shooting. This course is accepted by The California Department of Justice for Handgun Safety Certificate Intructor certification in accordance to Penal Code 31635, subdivision (b).
NRA Instructor Course: Become a certified NRA instructor. This course is for experienced shooters with the desire to share his/her knowledge and skills to responsible and law abiding individuals who are willing to learn the discipline of pistol shooting. The course is geared towards teaching the "NRA Way".
Rifle Instructor Course: Become a certified NRA Rifle instructor. This course is for experienced shooters with the desire to share his/her knowledge and skills to responsible and law abiding individuals who are willing to learn the discipline of rifle shooting. The course is geared towards teaching the "NRA Way".
NRA Range Safety Officer Course: Become a certified NRA Range Safety Officer. This course is for experienced shooters who can organize and supervise safe shooting activities and range operations. This course covers many topics inclluding ethics, responsibility, leadership, course management, range rules, writing range SOP and many more.
Refuse To Be A Victim: Refuse To Be A Victim® is a three to four hour seminar, designed to provide common-
sense information geared toward awareness and avoidance of criminal attack. This course helps seminar participants better understand criminal thinking
and provide tips on maximizing home, automobile, telephone, technological, and personal
security. Participants learn unbiased information about crime prevention strategies; self-
defense training options; and the use of devices such as pepper spray, Mace and stun
guns.
